Matthew Doore, OD

About Dr. Doore

Dr. Doore is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where he received undergraduate degrees in both Biochemistry and Business Management. He then headed to Houston, Texas where he received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Doore gained a vast amount of experience in the treatment and management of ocular diseases and pre- and post-operative care during his rotation at Thomas E. Creek VA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. He also developed expertise performing laser procedures at Vision Center in Ruston, Louisiana, and he became proficient in the treatment of advanced dry eye cases at the Dry Eye Center at the University Eye Institute in Houston, Texas. This varied and comprehensive history has provided Dr. Doore with the competency to help with any ocular problems that may occur while providing patient care.

Dr. Doore spent several years in private practice in Iowa practicing general optometry, treating dry eye, and fitting specialty contact lenses. This experience was followed by a period of time serving remote communities in the state of Alaska before finally finding his home here at Whitson Vision. Dr. Doore is excited to help provide the best possible care for the people of Indianapolis.
